Prevention of Ovarian Cancer is done with Hysterectomy, Tubal Ligation and Genetic counseling and testing.

Certain risk factors like that of age and family history cannot be avoided yet there are certain risk factors that if taken care of can prove to be helpful in preventing ovarian cancer like:

  • Using oral contraceptives
  • Tubal ligation and hysterectomy
  • Genetic counseling and testing for those with BRCA mutation
