Oral cancer screening is done with physical examination, and additional tests.

The role of the oral cancer screening is to detect oral cancer at an initial stage when it is most treatable. It can be done by either a doctor or a dentist. It can begin with a physical examination of the buccal cavity along with the rest of the oral cavity to find out about the onset of oral cancer. There may be additional tests that can be done by your doctor in addition to the physical examination.
