There are different types of lung cancer which includes Adenocarcinoma, Squamous Cell Cancer, Large Cell Carcinoma, and Undifferentiated non small cell lung cancer.

Non-small cell lung cancer: These are the most common types of lung cancer. About 85% of the lung cancers are of the non-small lung cancer type. It is further classified into squamous cell carcinoma.

Large cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma are the further types of non-small type of lung cancers.

Small cell lung cancer: This comprises of the 10%-15% of all the cancer types. It is also known as oat cell cancer. These types of cancers have a tendency to spread at a faster rate.

Lung carcinoid cancer: Lung carcinoid cancer spread very slowly or at times do not even spread at all. They are the least seen type of lung cancer in the recent years.
