Intravenous Pyelogram is a test utilized in studying organs like kidneys, ureters and bladder and diagnosing presence of conditions in these organs.

Also known as excretory urogram, Intravenous pyelogram is a test used to study organs like kidneys, ureters and bladder for finding out any diseases or abnormalities. It facilitates in the diagnosis of conditions of the urinary tract including kidney cancer. The test is done as the patient lies down on their back and x-rays are taken. Dye is injected which is then followed by x-ray scans to trace the flow of the dye from kidneys to the ureters as it moves towards bladder.
