CT Scan is an imaging method which is utilized to visualize internal organs in the human body. CT scan reveals the size, shape and location of the tumor.

CT Scan uses X-ray technology for the best results in detecting a particular disorder. It is a fast procedure and non invasive as well. The cross sectional images improve the diagnosis of the particular type of diseases manifolds with the usage of specialized devices and technology. Nowadays, it is considered as the most useful and accurate type of technology for the diagnosis of the diseases.

It uses x-ray as the medium and the image is obtained in the form of a slice or cross section of the body. It can show different organs, bones, and soft tissues with a better clarity as compared to an x-ray scan. CT scans are effective in showing the size, shape, and location of a tumor. The feeding blood vessels connected to the tumour can also be visualized through CT scan.

He specializes in the treatment of Lumpectomy, Pulmonary lobectomy, Video-Assisted thoracoscopic surgery, Lymph node dissection, Thoracotomy, and Gyne Oncology. He also specializes in Craniotomy Surgery, Wedge resection, Radiotherapy, Mastectomy and Chemotherapy of Solid Tumors. He has completed his MBBS in Medical College, Calcutta in 1988 and Diploma in Radiotherapy from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai in 1992. Further, he pursued MD in Oncology from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai in the year 1993. Dr. Tamohan has an experience of more than two and a half decades in this field. He became a recognised teacher and thesis guide of National Board of Examinations, New Delhi in the year 2000.
