Biopsy is the procedure of extraction of tissues sample from a organ of a patient and determine the growth of the cancer. The cost of biopsy can vary from Rs. 2000 to Rs. 15000 depending upon the location where the biopsy is being carried out.

A biopsy is performed to extract a tissue sample taken from the affected organ for examination. It is done to determine the growth of cancer. It helps the examiner to find out if any cells taken from the tissue sample are cancerous or precancerous.

This test is also helpful in the diagnosis of conditions like tumors, bleeding, polyps or inflammation. While other scans confirm the presence of cancer in the body, biopsy is one step ahead as it gives proper diagnosis.
